Overview:
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Java Developer
to join an established team in Dublin on a long-term contract.
This role involves maintaining and developing
large-scale, mission-critical legacy systems
using
J2EE
,
Struts
,
EJB
, and
Oracle
technologies.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills — ensuring stability and performance within complex enterprise environments.
Key Skills and Experience:
Minimum 10 years’ experience
in enterprise-level
Java EE development and support
.
Strong hands-on experience with
J2EE 1.4, Java 1.5, EJB 2.0, Struts 1.1
, and
OC4J 10.3.3.0
.
Proven experience maintaining
legacy web applications
on
Solaris 5.10
and
Oracle 10G
.
Advanced
PL/SQL
development, including stored procedures, packages, and functions.
Solid understanding of
JAZN
for authorisation and policy management.
Expertise in
Subversion (SVN)
for codebase management (tagging, branching, merging).
Experience with
Jenkins
,
ANT
, and
continuous integration / deployment
.
Knowledge of
secure file transfer
,
legacy APIs
, and system integrations.
Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a technical team.
Must hold a
Stamp 4 visa
or
EU passport
(required for eligibility).

Participate in
continuous integration and build automation
processes using
Jenkins

Generate
ad-hoc SQL reports
for business analysis.
Mentor and support internal staff, promoting knowledge transfer and best practice development.
