Piper Companies is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to join a financial services organization located in Tysons, VA through a hybrid opportunity. The Senior BI Analyst will assess business processes and implement strategies that enhance functional support for Consumer Banking products and teams.
Responsibilities of the Senior BI Analyst Include:
Analyze large datasets using tools such as Tableau, Snowflake, Tableau Prep, and SQL to develop dashboards and reports that highlight key business metrics.
Identify and prioritize data needs, collaborating with BI developers to extract, transform, and store relevant datasets.
Oversee ETL processes, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure dashboards are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Maintain and enhance existing Tableau dashboards, providing insights and support on related metrics and data.
Collaborate with business and IT teams to deliver actionable BI solutions, while also mentoring internal teams on effectively using BI tools and capabilities.
Stay current on regulatory and system updates to ensure timely implementation.
Clearly document and present key findings, with the ability to follow up and provide status updates as needed.
Work in Agile environments, managing sprint deliverables in JIRA and participating in ceremonies like sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Qualifications for the Senior BI Analyst Include:
6+ years of experience in data analysis.
2+ years of preferred experience with Consumer Banking products such as auto loans, personal loans, student loans, or credit cards.
Proficiency in Tableau and SQL is required, with hands-on experience working with large datasets.
Experience with data governance tools such as Ataccama or Collibra is highly preferred.
Familiarity with R, Python, and Snowflake is a strong plus.
Proven expertise in data analysis and advanced analytical techniques.
Skilled in clearly presenting insights, recommendations, and complex information to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, make decisions, and creatively solve business challenges.
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or a related field is required.
Compensation for the Senior BI Analyst Include:
Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000
Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
