🚀 Your next challenge
The Regional Cloud DevOps will have the responsibility to create and maintain cloud infrastructures in the Region, driving the implementation of cloud resources in Sodexo environments with the support of the Cloud Regional Partner and with internal cloud engineers.
He/she will ensure that all teams work following Sodexo-defined Cloud standards, with a focus on continuous automation through CI/CD Best practices. He/she will be implementing cloud enablers with a Security, FinOps, and adequate continuous documentation perspective, aligned with the TOM best practices, tools, and associated workflows.
You will work closely with the development teams in countries (insourced and outsourced), acting as technical reference for the countries’ DevOps or Cloud Engineering teams involved in the enablement of solutions in the cloud, accompanying the teams providing technical guidance over the specific resource’s configurations, already stablished in Sodexo components portfolio by the Foundations and Platforms Competence Centre and Global Architecture team.
🚀 What you’ll be doing:
Plan
: define and describe the features and functionalities of the CI/CD resources over the applications and systems that will be created, tracking progress with enough level of detail, from single-product tasks to tasks that span multiple product portfolios. The role can create specific actions in the backlogs, track bugs, manage agile infrastructure releases with agile boards, and conduct progress reviews to plan DevOps activity, providing agility and visibility at the regional and country level for projects.
Code review/automation
: with good programming (writing, testing, reviewing, and integrating code) and compiling capabilities, can provide guidance over the code to build artifacts that can be deployed in multiple environments with a focus on quick automation without sacrificing quality, stability, or productivity using CI/CD.
Deliver:
Provide technical guidance and support on deploying applications to production environments consistently and reliably, including the implementation and configuration of the basic fully managed infrastructure that underpins those environments. Clear release management process with well-set approval stages, setting up automatic gates that move applications from one phase to another until they are available to customers, and supporting the evolution of these processes to make them controlled, scalable, and repeatable.
Use:
Help guide on maintaining and monitoring applications, as well as troubleshooting, in production environments adopting DevOps practices, ensuring reliability, high availability, and with the goal of zero system downtime, while strengthening security and governance practices that should be followed.
Monitoring
: Ensuring the enablement of standard mechanisms to identify issues before they affect the customer experience and quickly mitigate them as they arise. Following the implementation of observability as well as actionable alerts, and full visibility of application performance and the underlying infrastructures.
The Regional Cloud DevOps will have the responsibility to manage and provide guidance to the local infrastructure and development teams on:
Guidance and support in the migration activities of local infrastructure and solutions to the cloud for all regional countries.
Ensure the implementation across all countries of the standard IT framework \& tools around cloud infrastructures, defined by the Foundations \& Platforms competence centre
Ensure that the Local DevOps teams (internal or external) are engaged in the different regional infrastructure teams with the Platforms and Foundations Competence Centre and regional cloud partners.
Support in the implementation of the Target Operational Model in the region focused on Infrastructure and platforms.
Drive the adoption of standard processes and tools by cloud regional partners
Work closely with the applications teams to provide technical guidance to support the definition of the underpinning cloud infrastructures that will be used by the solutions.
Ensuring standardization and usage of the CI/CD workflows, trying to achieve a high level of automation across the region, promoting IaC in all deliveries.
Helping countries with technical enablement required on the Move to Azure roadmap.
Ensure that Knowledge management and standardization of the different developments and enablements follow the New TOM aligned with the ITIL Processes in service management/service delivery activities.
Focus on knowledge management, ensuring traceability and proper documentation of the infrastructures and application assets in the CMDB.
Providing support to the development teams on the CI/CD workflows applied in countries
Monitor and manage all KPI based performance, spotting trends, and ensuring the highest level of quality of service.
Help regional teams with problem management related to application developments and IaC
Ensuring that a secure development approach is followed across the region.
