Front End Developer

As an engineer at Pony Express HQ, you'll be a part of a highly independent and autonomous team. Since we're building out a robust data layer that needs to be presented elegantly to the end-user, you'll be working with a large array of different technologies and fields.

Responsibilities
Apply computer science course knowledge to real-world problems.
Design, implement, test, and maintain features based on projects
Follow mentoring as specified
Build monitoring and alerting tools to prevent our application from being unavailable; be part of weekly on-call rotations to resolve any infrastructure issues quickly whenever our application becomes unavailable.
And yes, become a product expert and customer champion
Requirements
Working experience in a similar role before
Writing website code with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node.js
Extra points: knowledge of databases, in-memory storages, NoSQL and key-value databases, Javascript, Node.js, strong understanding of TDD, unit and automated tests
Fixing any website issues or bugs that arise
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a closely related discipline
Ability to work independently and within a geographically distributed engineering team
Coding experience in any programming language
Ability to speak and write in English
Experience approaching software engineering problems systematically and independently.
Ability to apply problem-solving skills to take on real-life challenges
Effective communication skills, being a proactive, self-motivated, positive attitude
