The Opportunity
CareAbout is looking for a Salesforce Developer to take ownership of a highly customised Salesforce environment and transform it into a simpler, faster, and more intuitive system for its sales and service teams.
This is a key hire that will bring Salesforce capability in-house, replacing two external contractors and building the foundations for a modern, efficient, and scalable CRM. The goal is to create a “follow the bouncing ball” experience, where Salesforce guides users through the process, reduces training time, and enables the team to spend more time talking to customers and less time entering data.
What You’ll Do
Simplify, optimise, and stabilise CareAbout’s Salesforce instance
Redesign sales and service workflows to reduce friction and improve speed
Build guided flows and smart prompts to support agents at each step
Improve data accuracy and performance through better UX and automation
Strengthen integrations with Service Voice Cloud, Ortto, and Tableau
Collaborate with the COO and project manager to prioritise and deliver improvements
Document system architecture, dependencies, and key processes to reduce risk
Tech Environment
Core Platform: Salesforce (highly customised, Sales \& Service Cloud)
Integrations: Service Voice Cloud, Ortto (marketing automation), Tableau (reporting)
Data \& Infrastructure: Azure Data Warehouse, SQL Server, Python, Airflow, Dataddo
Immediate Priorities
Work with current contractors to understand architecture, projects, and dependencies.
Deliver 2–3 quick wins in the first 90 days to improve usability and performance.
Map key workflows, document pain points, and begin simplifying complex logic.
Tune system performance and clean up unnecessary automations.

About You
You’re an experienced Salesforce Developer who enjoys simplifying complexity. You understand that great systems should feel invisible, helping people do their jobs better without friction.
You’ll bring:
Strong experience with Salesforce configuration and Apex development
Confidence working with Flows, APIs, and integrations
A track record of improving existing systems rather than just maintaining them
The ability to translate business pain points into simple, effective technical solutions
A collaborative mindset, comfortable engaging directly with non-technical teams
Experience in service, brokerage, or call-centre style environments will be highly regarded.
