Senior GIS Specialist
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide overall operational and technical leadership for various utility GIS consulting programs
Facilitate presentations and conduct workshops to identify, define, and capture business and technical requirements and best practices
Manage deliverables for the consulting projects, including use-case development, requirements gathering, and large-scale implementation strategy and road maps and reports
Serve as liaison between POWER and the client to ensure all targets and requirements are met
Break down high-level business requirements and user requirements into functional requirements
Identify operational system interfaces, constraints, and other non-functional requirements
Work individually or within a team on technology consulting projects to meet specific customer requirements
Coach, manage, and serve as a mentor to senior and entry level consultants, developers, and analysts
Provide business development support to the sales team and account managers, including preparation and estimation of proposals for consulting and implementation projects
Actively participate in thought leadership activities such as blogs, conferences, and public speaking opportunities
Required Education/Experience
Minimum of 3 yearsâ experience working with the ArcGIS Utility Network
Bachelorâs degree in a related field or equivalent utility and consulting work experience
Mentoring of junior resources
Ability to work in a âhighâ production environment with deliverables
Electric and Gas utility knowledge
Knowledgeable about data modeling best practices
Highly-motivated about UN and related tasks
Can work in a remote team environment
Understanding of the Esri product suite, with emphasis desired in one or more of the following:

Configuring, deploying, and managing the Utility Network

Data model design and management

Designing and deploying ArcGIS applications through ArcGIS Online or Portal
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications and customer relations skills
Demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional integrity
Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Good understanding of utility business processes, including compliance, regulatory requirements, and field workflows
Able to articulate the business needs around specific utility network models, including how commodities operate in the real world and the value of representing networks in GIS
Desired Education/Experience
ArcGIS Utility Network Certified Highly Preferred
Python Development a plus
Experience with gas, water, wastewater, stormwater and fiber GIS systems
Experience with Schneider Electricâs ArcFM Product Suite
Supervision skills.

Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $160,000.00 per year
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
