PRIMED Medical Products is looking for an Associate Product Manager (“APM”) to join our Product Management Team in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Product Director, you will be responsible for product marketing, support development of net new products, transformational changes to existing products, and integration of significant manufacturing improvements to drive efficiencies with a goal to increase market share, profitability, \& sustainability of the facial protection category.

This is an opportunity for a professional looking to gain deep expertise in the design, development, and marketing of healthcare products. You will be mentored by senior leadership but expected to take ownership of your categories immediately. This includes analyzing data, defining features, and collaborating across the organization to ensure our products solve real clinician problems.

Your day to day:

As an APM, you will support the overall category strategy while managing day-to-day business activities.

Product Strategy \& Market Intelligence

Competitive Analysis: Track ongoing market intelligence, including clinical trends, competitive landscapes, upcoming contracts, and market pricing.

Customer Insight: Understand customer requirements through data review, tradeshow attendance, and sales interactions to ensure our products meet real-world needs.

Pricing Strategy: Respond to internal pricing requests, synthesize data to recommend pricing structures, and gain approval from Product Management leadership.

Project Management \& Execution

New Product Development: Participate in cross-functional teams to address product definition, manufacturability, pricing, and market introduction.

Business Cases: Support the generation of business cases for new opportunities, including financial analysis and sales forecasting.

Marketing Collateral: Collaborate with the graphics team to design branded and private label artwork, packaging, catalogues, and advertising materials.

Operational \& Sales Support

Vendor Management: Work with Sourcing and Quality teams to foster supplier relationships, collect product information, samples, and manage supply constraints.

Quality Control: Manage category-related complaints and Non-Conformance Records (NCRs) in coordination with Quality Assurance.

Sales Enablement: Travel with sales teams to support clinical trials and customer meetings. Facilitate training on new products and selling strategies for internal teams.

The APM is a key member of PRIMED’s success and requires exceptional collaboration, communication skills, project management, team involvement, and professionalism in order to perform day to day job tasks.

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.

Experience in Product Management, Marketing, or a related analytical role (experience in Medical Device/Healthcare or regulated industries is a strong plus).

Strong proficiency in data analysis (Excel) and the ability to derive insights from raw data.

Proven experience managing projects with cross-functional stakeholders (Manufacturing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Sales).

Ability to travel occasionally for tradeshows, customer visits, and clinical support.

Demonstrated strong ownership mindset and uncompromising commitment to quality.

Exhibit a proactive drive to understand the “why” behind performance, market dynamics and operational processes.

Ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.

This position is based in the Edmonton office and may require occasional travel domestically.

Typical office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, due to the nature of the business, work outside of typical hours including evenings and weekends may be required.
