On behalf of our Manufacturing client, Procom is searching for a Full Stack Java Developer for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Breslau, Ontario office.
Full Stack Java Developer - Job Description:
The project involves developing high-reliability solutions for a mission-critical industrial environment, focusing on enhancing customer value and technical capabilities. The role requires refining concepts from shop-floor users into actionable requirements using Agile methodology.
Full Stack Java Developer - Responsibilities:
System design and architecture
Full lifecycle implementation (design, development, testing, deployment)
Integration with existing enterprise systems and industrial tools
Production support, troubleshooting, and long-term maintenance
Engaging directly with shop-floor stakeholders to refine and validate requirements
Ensuring performance, reliability, and responsive UI for handheld devices
Full Stack Java Developer - Mandatory Skills:
Expert knowledge in Java Spring Boot and Angular 12+
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in frontend and mobile development
Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL
Experience in designing RESTful microservices in a distributed environment
Creating and maintaining Jenkins pipelines
Working with message queues (Kafka)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an Agile team
Full Stack Java Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
Mobile app development (Android, hybrid frameworks)
Industrial automation protocols (OPC, PLC, Modbus)
Advanced Kafka usage (stream processing, schema registries)
Advanced Redis usage (pub/sub, distributed locks)
DevOps tools (GitHub Actions, container orchestration)
