We are seeking a skilled
Senior DevOps Engineer
with approximately 5-10 years of professional experience to join our biomedical startup. In this role, you will be at the forefront of deploying and managing the infrastructure that powers our SaaS platform. You'll work closely with backend developers, AI engineers, and data scientists to ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and scalable supporting everything from containerized microservices to AI model deployments.
Selected applicants will be asked to perform a short take-home test task and submit a 30-second video introduction. This initial submission is a key part of our interview process before the final meeting.

Your Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at QOVES, you will be responsible for:
Infrastructure Deployment \& Management:
Design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure to support both our backend services and AI model deployments.
CI/CD Pipeline Automation:
Build and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to facilitate rapid, secure deployments.
Containerization \& Orchestration:
Manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (or equivalent) to ensure scalability and high availability.
Infrastructure as Code:
Leverage tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
Monitoring \& Troubleshooting:
Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively address performance bottlenecks and security issues.
Collaboration \& Best Practices:
Work cross-functionally with development and AI teams to integrate infrastructure solutions, enforce security protocols, and adopt best practices for high performance and reliability.
Rapid Test Environment Setup:
Configure and manage test environments quickly to support iterative development and experimentation, especially for deploying AI and machine learning models.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
5-10 years in DevOps, infrastructure management, or related engineering roles.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or similar).
Solid experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Strong skills in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
Security \& Reliability:
Deep understanding of best practices in security, performance optimization, and high availability.
Proven track record managing production-grade systems.
Collaboration:
Excellent communication skills and experience working in collaborative, agile environments.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Startup Environment:
Experience working in fast-paced, agile startup environments and wearing multiple hats.
AI/ML Infrastructure:
Exposure to deploying and managing AI models or machine learning pipelines.
Monitoring Tools:
Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or equivalent monitoring solutions.
Automation \& Orchestration:
Experience with additional automation frameworks and orchestration tools beyond the basics.
Cloud-Native Solutions:
Knowledge of modern cloud-native architectures and serverless deployments.
