Key Responsibilities
Quest is seeking a seasoned Full-Stack Cloud Engineer to oversee the management, security, and optimization of a diverse portfolio of more than 100 cloud-hosted applications. This hands-on role encompasses cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, CI/CD pipeline development, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance across AWS and other multi-cloud platforms. The position is based onsite at Quest’s client location in Contagem, Brazil, with a requirement to work from the office five days a week
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
Provision and manage AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, etc.
Implement infrastructure changes using Terraform/OpenTofu.
Optimize cloud spend using FinOps best practices.
Support multi-region and multi-cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, OCI).
Participate in cloud, security, and shared service meetings.
Maintenance \& Upkeep
Apply OS, application, and database updates.
Rotate EC2 AMIs and credentials per security policy.
Perform backups and recovery testing.
Optimize performance through scaling and right-sizing.
Security \& Compliance
Enforce IAM best practices (least privilege, MFA, role-based access).
Use Wiz, Tenable, and other tools for threat detection.
Ensure encryption of data at rest and in transit.
Participate in SOX audits and internal security reviews.
Maintain CMDB and adhere to ITIL and change control processes.
CI/CD \& Automation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab Runner.
Integrate SAST/DAST tools for code quality and security.
Manage Docker images and Chef cookbooks for EC2 automation.
Oversee GitLab organizations and deployment workflows.
Monitoring \& Reporting
Implement monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana.
Create dashboards and executive reports on uptime and performance.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and incident resolution.
Maintain SOPs and assist in developer onboarding.
Deliverables
Monthly infrastructure health and performance reports.
Quarterly updated cloud architecture diagrams and IaC templates.
Bi-weekly security audit logs and change documentation.
Qualifications
Education \& Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
Technical Skills
AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
Terraform/OpenTofu, Chef
GitLab CI/CD, Docker
Monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana
Security tools: Wiz, Tenable
Scripting: Python, Bash
Soft Skills
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience presenting to technical leadership and stakeholders.
On-Call \& Support
Provide 24x7 on-call support for infrastructure and application issues.
Participate in incident management and RCA documentation.
