Business runs better when IT runs at its best. Are you ready to provide our customers with the best experience when buying and maintaining their insurances on mobile devices or desktop? And ensure the highest standards of data quality and security for our stakeholders?
As an experienced Business Analyst within the insurance domain, you play a key role in a squad that is committed to delivering customer and business value at a steady pace. You are driven to investigate, challenge, and translate stakeholder requirements into reliable and high-quality IT solutions.
You \& your role
As a Business Analyst in the squad, you are the bridge between business needs and their technical realization. You:
Collaborate with the Product Owner to define which features to implement—both short-term and long-term. You naturally ask the right questions to clarify needs and can break down complex features into manageable, incremental deliveries;
Understand the interaction between frontend flows (for customers and bank employees) and backend services. You know which backend services are triggered at each step in the flow;
Work closely with UX designers to ensure new flows are both user-friendly and technically feasible, based on functional and technical capabilities;
Align with business and solution architects on major changes or additions to applications, ensuring future-proof solution directions;
Write clear and actionable user stories together with developers and testers, each contributing to the desired functionality. You also maintain and update documentation in Confluence with every change;
Take ownership of explaining user stories to the team and support them during implementation by answering questions and safeguarding quality;
Advise the Product Owner on backlog prioritization and actively contribute to bug analysis and solution design, ensuring both new and existing functionalities are well maintained.
Making a difference
Rabobank works in a rapidly changing landscape. To remain an “IT driven bank with customer focus” we need to meet both market standards in IT as well as legislation that applies to our systems, products and processes. We also need a day-to-day focus on what is important for our customers and stakeholders, including tight feedback loops. To meet this mission, Rabobank is modernizing the insurance systems landscape by maintaining and (re)building cloud solutions: stable and secure backend services as a fundament for flexible front end customer journeys. As a business analyst you will contribute to define, design and realize both backend services and front-end journeys that will excel in interaction with each other on one hand and with third party systems on the other.
With each other
You will be part of a diverse and involved team that takes ownership to further develop the insurance cloud solutions and great customer journeys. You will work closely with solution architects as well as your DevOps team. Your product owner is your guide and sparring partner to create the spot on the horizon, as well as the short-term goals that will work for your team to deliver every sprint. You will challenge your product owner and team as well, when it comes to making solutions both simple and useful. And you will cooperate with other business analysts in the same domain to align content and the way of working.
With you
As a business analyst, you possess the skills and mind-set to initiate, challenge and formulate solutions that support smooth end to end user experience. You have strong affinity on customer journeys as well as backend services that interact with internal and external systems. You are trained to effectively apply business analysis methods and best practices. You are interested in how the whole system performs and find out how to monitor and improve after deployment.
