As a Senior Studio Operator, youâll play a key role in the production and delivery of high-quality radio and multimedia content. Youâll work closely with RNZâs Content Group to ensure our audiences receive compelling programming wherever and whenever they tune in.
Your role will include:
Supporting live radio production and content publishing across platforms
Recording music and other in-studio sessions
Audio post production and multimedia editing
Participating in outside broadcasts, including live music events and radio shows
Collaborating with colleagues across RNZ to deliver seamless production
Staying current with emerging technologies and contributing to innovation
Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Proven experience as a Sound Engineer or Studio Operator
Strong expertise and knowledge in operating audio studios and equipment for diverse production needs
A proactive approach to learning and applying new technologies
Excellent studio engineering and audio production skills
Knowledge and application of audio editing software and digital production tools
Creative problem-solving and lateral thinking
Ability to work efficiently and adapt to changing priorities
A team player who builds positive, respectful relationships
