Raytheon UK is seeking an experienced and strategic Subcontract Manager to lead and manage moderately sized subcontracting projects and processes for the British Army Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP). This P4-level role is ideal for a subject-matter expert with advanced knowledge of subcontract management, who thrives in complex environments and is ready to make a significant impact on operational performance of our suppliers supporting British Army Training.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as a Subcontracts subject-matter expert, contributing to the development of operational plans, budgets, and discipline-specific goals.
Solve numerous and often complex problems with our supply chain through detailed analysis, investigation, and application of prior experience.
Management and negotiation of contracts, non-disclosure agreements and terms and conditions.
Drive moderate to significant improvements in processes, systems, or products to enhance performance across multiple departments, suppliers or projects.
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to influence policies, procedures, and practices.
Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals, supporting their development and ensuring high-quality delivery.
Provide measurable input into the development of new solutions, projects, processes, or standards in support of business strategy.
Who we are looking for:
Weâre after individuals who want to serve. Youâll have a mission focus, and the enthusiasm and drive to âget things doneâ. Youâll want to work in collaboration with other defence training organisations, and the British Army. You wonât let bureaucracy get in the way of what needs to be done, youâll learn lessons and share these lessons across the team. You wonât necessarily have a military background, but youâll understand what it means to serve and to put the mission first.
A university degree (preferably in a STEM or business-related field) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
Advanced knowledge of subcontract management, supplier engagement, and contract execution.
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently and influence across functions.
Proven experience in managing complex subcontracting activities and contributing to strategic planning.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at an operational level.
