The key accountabilities of the role:
To ensure maximum uptime of all critical business platforms.
To ensure we minimise the chances of any security breaches.
To continually look for ways to optimise the infrastructure for better performance and overall reduction in operational hosting costs
The key responsibilities of the role:
Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure to support business operations.
Develop self-service solutions, including templates and tooling, to empower developers and streamline workflows.
Identify, investigate, and resolve security vulnerabilities and compliance issues in cloud infrastructure to ensure a secure and robust environment
Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Embed Infrastructure as Code best practices into existing environments to enhance consistency and scalability.
Implement and advocate for DevOps practices to drive collaboration and continuous delivery.
Provide a secure, high-performance hosting platform for SaaS products, ensuring compliance and reliability.
Analyse and resolve technical, application, and production incidents to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Stay informed on emerging technology trends and innovations to drive continuous improvement and modernization.
The key requirements for the role:
Strong analytical skills plus excellent written, oral communication and presentations skills
Demonstrated orientation towards using initiative, being proactive and accountable.
Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships with a focus on communication amongst multiple teams.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing requirements and resolve conflicts.
Ability to set and meet deadlines and an ability to perform under pressure.
AWS Best Practices

Thorough networking and security knowledge.
Exposure to system performance and capacity planning, platform upgrades, root cause analysis and application change management processes.
Exposure to problem analysis in complex IT systems.
Exposure to ISO27001
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps Engineer roles/System Administrator
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
Experience in Amazon Web Services covering services such as VPCs, EC2, RDS, ECS, SES, SQS, SNS
Experienced in managing Windows Server environments, including IIS administration and Windows domain configuration.
Knowledge of the CI/CD best practices, with experience in GitHub actions, Azure DevOps or Buildkite and experience with Software Deployment with tools such as Octopus Deploy.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or Sparkleformation
Proficiency in a Programming language or Scripting language such as Python, PowerShell or Bash.
Database Administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL
The ability to adapt to rapid, iterative change
Experience working closely with Product Development teams
Ability to operate in a small lean stream-aligned team.
Familiarity with Observability tools and ability to create dashboards with SLAs/SLOs
