Senior Data Engineer – €600/day \| 12-Month Contract \| Hybrid Dublin
I’m hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a long-term daily-rate contract supporting a major fintech data platform used globally by financial institutions. This role is ideal for someone who wants ownership, modern tooling, and the chance to work at serious scale.
About the Role
You will join a specialised engineering team working on a real-time risk intelligence platform that processes huge volumes of financial and crypto-related data. This is a modern, cloud-first environment where you’ll be building, optimising, and scaling data systems that have real-world impact.
What You Will Work On
Designing and developing large-scale data pipelines using Snowflake, Spark, Hadoop, NiFi and Python
Building end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows for high-volume datasets
Improving performance, resilience and data quality across the platform
Working closely with Product, Data Science and Software Engineering functions
Contributing to architectural decisions and technical strategy
Supporting production environments in an agile, fast-moving team
What You Bring
Essential:
Strong Snowflake experience (optimisation, performance tuning, advanced features)
Solid Python skills for data engineering
Expert-level SQL and experience with large datasets

Distributed data processing and streaming experience
