Lead Java Developer

As a Lead Java Developer, you’ll design and deliver high-impact software for leading organisations across sectors such as finance, logistics, energy, and healthcare. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset, taking ownership of architecture, delivery, and mentoring within a modern, collaborative engineering culture.

What you’ll do

You’ll take technical ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and beyond. Working in

Agile, cloud-native environments

, you’ll design scalable systems and ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability are top priorities.

Your responsibilities include:

Designing and developing

robust, scalable applications

using Java (Spring / Spring Boot).

Architecting and implementing

microservices

and

APIs

that integrate seamlessly across systems.

Setting up

CI/CD pipelines

and ensuring high-quality delivery through automated testing.

Acting as a

technical advisor

to clients and project stakeholders.

Mentoring and coaching developers to elevate team performance.

Driving best practices, continuous improvement, and software excellence.

Leading by example — combining hands-on development with technical strategy.

Who you are

✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

✅ 7+ years of professional experience in

Java software development

.

✅ Deep expertise in

Spring / Spring Boot

and the broader Java ecosystem.

✅ Experience with

automated testing

,

CI/CD

, and

cloud-native

solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).

✅ Strong understanding of

large-scale deployments

(scalability, resilience, API security).

✅ Proven ability to

mentor and lead

other developers.

✅ Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

✅ Fluent in

Dutch

(required).
