About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced
Backend Developer (Go / Golang)
to join a high-performing engineering team supporting a large, high-traffic platform with a substantial user base. This is an opportunity to work on a mature production system where stability, scalability, and consistent delivery are critical.
You’ll be contributing to the ongoing development and optimisation of backend services, working from well-defined requirements and collaborating closely with frontend, mobile, and platform teams to deliver reliable outcomes at scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
Building and enhancing backend services and APIs using Go
Delivering scoped features, improvements, and fixes from a prioritised backlog
Improving performance, scalability, and reliability across high-throughput systems
Diagnosing and resolving production issues and technical debt
Collaborating with product, QA, and infrastructure teams in a structured delivery environment
Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang)
Experience building and maintaining backend services in high-traffic environments
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
Experience working with databases, caching, and CI/CD pipelines
A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with attention to detail
