Who we are:

We are responsible for designing, developing and implementing Human Services Digital solutions. Working collaboratively with our IT and Departmental partners we deliver highly effective technology solutions.

What You Will Do In This Role

The Product Manager within IT Solutions is responsible for running large major platforms, specifically CRM/Salesforce to improve the user experience which impacts the pilot area and over time can have a broader impact on the divisional program as well as other departments. The Product Manager acts as the technical expert on CRM/Salesforce and is responsible to be up to date on the product life cycle and roadmap, the functionality of the platform, and how to best utilize the platform to benefit the Region.

Actively participate in the annual departmental technology planning process to ensure that product strategies and roadmaps align with evolving business objectives.

Develop strategic artifacts for each service such as a business model canvas, product vision, SWOT, product-to-service mapping to guide strategic decision-making

Work with business stakeholders and product owners to create and maintain comprehensive multi-year technology roadmaps that reflect service line goals.

Provides strategic consultation, seeks and shares expert knowledge of the product life cycle and roadmap to plan and coordinate resources

Provides in-depth analysis, conducts research, reviews documentation, develops reports/presentations, and makes recommendations on how to resolve complex problems and better utilize CRM/Salesforce to ensure the users of the platform can benefit from the platform

Define business capabilities required for each service line, ensuring that technology solutions effectively meet these needs.

Develops strong working relationships with IT Strategic Manager, who leads the Digital Services Team and the Digital Services Team members including:

  • Solutions Architect around the design of the solutions \& platform

  • Business Analyst to ensure the product is meeting the needs of the client groups

  • Project Manager to ensure that product visions are realized .

What The Role Requires

Relevant post-secondary education in Computer Science and/or Business, or equivalent

8 years of related and progressive experience, planning, implementing and managing CRM/Salesforce/Cloud projects

Experience managing products at all stages of the product lifecycle

CRM/Salesforce expertise, application, software and product experience

Strong understanding and experience with enterprise platforms (SAP, Salesforce, Maximo, Azure, ESRI, Microsoft, UiPath, Five9, Service Now, etc.) and APIs.

Skills/Abilities

Demonstrated product management skills

Strong analytical or problem solving/ decision making skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Solid consulting skills

Excellent facilitation, influencing and relationship management skills

Solid understanding of the Region of Peel/ municipal/ regional government

Lead and facilitate product/steering committees with cross-functional stakeholders to share roadmaps, address pain points, and align on priorities

In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of

two days per week on-site

is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.
