About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead our Messaging product portfolio, including Enterprise SMS, Cloud Fax and the Enterprise Fax Portal.

In this senior role, you will be the domain owner for Messaging: you will define and own the roadmap, shape and prioritize features for complex enterprise messaging and document delivery and intelligence use cases, and be responsible for the strategic evolution and competitive positioning of the Messaging product suite. You will work at the intersection of Product, GTM, Architecture and Engineering to ensure that our Messaging products remain robust, scalable, secure, efficient and intelligent while delivering clear value to our customers.

What You'Ll Do

Own the Messaging product vision and roadmap, defining, structuring and prioritizing features and platform capabilities for the Messaging competence center.

Align Messaging product goals with Retarus’ overall business strategy, while balancing product-specific technical requirements and customer commitments.

Drive the strategic success of the Messaging product suite by continuously analyzing market trends, customer needs and competitors to sharpen the product’s positioning and competitive advantage.

Work closely with GTM, Sales and customer-facing teams to collect, validate and consolidate feature requests and market requirements, and translate them into clear roadmap items with defined business impact and priority.

Actively manage stakeholders within Product Management to identify and leverage synergies between Messaging and other Retarus products (e.g. shared capabilities, integration points, cross-sell opportunities).

Coordinate roadmap and releases with key stakeholders (Leadership Team, GTM, Support, Services and Customer Enablement) to ensure realistic expectations and smooth roll-outs.

Ensure the Messaging products meet relevant standards for scalability, reliability, security and user experience, including performance, deliverability, compliance and service quality.

Continuously improve operational efficiency of the Messaging products, with a strong focus on increasing support and maintenance efficiency.

Define and own product-specific performance and success KPIs for Messaging, such as stability and scalability metrics, SLA compliance, delivery and error rates, onboarding lead times, feature usage and operational costs.

Proactively monitor these KPIs and act on them, using data to steer the roadmap, prioritize improvements and regularly provide a clear product performance overview to key stakeholders.

Champion communication and stakeholder management for Messaging, ensuring transparent and regular updates on product status, roadmap decisions and upcoming releases.

What you'll need

8+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in B2B / enterprise communication, messaging or cloud platform products.

Proven expertise in the Messaging / Fax / SMS domain, including typical use cases, standards, routing models and customer scenarios (e.g. transactional messaging, alerts, document workflows, compliance-heavy industries).

Strong ability to understand and simplify complex communication and messaging workflows, and translate them into clear product requirements and prioritization decisions.

Experience leading and scaling multimillion-euro product lines or other strategically relevant enterprise products.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to align diverse stakeholders (internal and external) and drive decisions.

Hands-on mindset: you are happy to dive into product features, specifications, data and real customer cases – not just talk about them.

Business-fluent (C1) German and English, both written and spoken.

This role is Munich-based and requires at least three days per week in the office.
