, and help us build robust, scalable, and business-driven data solutions in the dynamic world of retail.
In this role, youāll play a key part in implementing data models that support customer-centric decision-making across the organization. While your main task is data engineering, we are also looking for someone who communicates openly and is willing to assist our business analysts with requirements engineering.
Job Description
Planning, development and implementation of an optimal data architecture to provide a high-quality basis for use cases in the field of analytics and reporting
Cooperation with analysts, product managers and backend developers to understand and implement data requirements
Support in designing and creating new data extraction, transformation and loading processes from different data sources (on-prem \& cloud)
Build and optimize data pipelines and transformation workflows to support data model implementation and data quality
Ensure data consistency, lineage, and governance across systems and domains
Continuously improve and refactor existing data models to align with evolving business needs and technical standards
Qualifications
Several years of professional experience in the areas of data engineering, relational databases and SQL (ideally Oracle)
Practical experience with the Snowflake Data cloud platform is a benefit
Experience in the conception and creation of data models and ETL processes
Technologies and topics such as Git, IaC (e.g. Terraform), CI/CD are not completely new territory for you
Hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) would be desirable
Interest in modern data architectures and a passion for data
You are characterized by your analytical thinking and good understanding of business processes
High level of personal responsibility and ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment
You have a good level of written and spoken English
