This role supports aerospace design, manufacturing, and sustainment programs by combining mechanical engineering expertise with advanced data analysis. The engineer uses SAP, Microsoft Access, and Power BI to analyze component performance, streamline production, improve reliability, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
MUST BE US CITIZEN
Core Responsibilities
Aerospace Systems Engineering — Support the design, evaluation, and improvement of mechanical components and assemblies used in aircraft, spacecraft, propulsion systems, or ground‑support equipment.
Data Integration \& Extraction — Pull and structure engineering, production, and maintenance data from SAP (e.g., PM, MM, PP modules) to support program reporting and technical analysis.
Reliability \& Performance Analytics — Analyze test data, flight data, maintenance logs, and qualification results to identify trends, failure modes, and improvement opportunities.
Manufacturing \& Production Support — Use data to optimize build processes, reduce defects, and improve throughput in aerospace manufacturing or assembly environments.
Power BI Reporting — Develop dashboards that visualize key metrics such as non‑conformance trends, supplier performance, equipment utilization, and reliability indicators.
Access Database Management — Build and maintain Access databases to track engineering changes, test results, configuration data, or quality metrics.
Compliance \& Documentation — Support documentation required for aerospace certification (FAA, EASA, DoD), including traceability, configuration control, and quality records.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Work with design engineering, quality, supply chain, test engineering, and program management to ensure data‑driven decisions across the product lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement — Apply engineering principles and statistical methods to reduce cost, improve reliability, and enhance safety across aerospace systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency with SAP for production, maintenance, or supply‑chain data.
Strong skills in Power BI for data modeling, visualization, and automated reporting.
Experience with Microsoft Access for database creation and maintenance.
Understanding of aerospace mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test data.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into engineering actions.
Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace manufacturing, MRO, propulsion, or flight‑test environments.
Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, or other aerospace quality standards.
Exposure to reliability engineering tools such as FMEA, FRACAS, or Weibull analysis.
Experience with SQL, Python, or VBA for advanced data automation.
