Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced
Senior Data Engineer
with deep expertise in
MS SQL performance tuning
to optimize database performance and resolve application timeout issues.
Key Responsibilities
Optimize database tables, indexes, stored procedures, and complex ad-hoc queries
Tune high-complexity queries and stored procedures (joins across 5+ tables)
Perform regression testing for database changes
Implement and fine-tune recommendations from Microsoft SME teams
Collaborate closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
Mandatory Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
8+ years of hands-on experience in MS SQL database performance tuning
Strong expertise in table/index design and query optimization
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Amazon RDS
Backend development experience in C#
Finance domain experience
