What you'll do:

As a Packaging Development Supervisor, you will immerse yourself in the full lifecycle of packaging projects-transforming creative concepts into practical solutions that protect products while enhancing their visual appeal. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders such as sales, production, quality control, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure every aspect of packaging aligns with operational needs. Lead the end-to-end process of designing and developing packaging solutions for new and existing furniture products, from initial concept through to mass production.

Engineer packaging that ensures optimal product integrity during transit, storage, and handling by considering various shipping methods and cost constraints.

Optimise factory packing processes by creating efficient carton layouts and assembly instructions that reduce labour time and material waste.

Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and 3D models using advanced CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD to communicate design intent clearly.

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments on new packaging concepts to ensure practicality and compliance with local and international regulations.

Develop container loading patterns that maximise space utilisation while maintaining product safety throughout the supply chain.

Work collaboratively with sales teams to gather all necessary information required for customer-specific packaging submissions.

Coordinate with laboratory teams to test new designs, analyse results for improvements, and implement corrective actions based on physical validation outcomes.
