The Position
This PT Kaiseraugst site is committed to delivering greater benefits to our patients while optimizing the ability to supply. Hence, it aims to deploy a robust Operational Excellence Culture and Strategy to enable the realization of the site's performance promises.
We are looking for a Unit Lead: Operational Excellence \& Performance Delivery to join the site DOI Leadership Team, championing a culture of continuous improvement, accelerating sustainable performance excellence, and unleashing the full potential of OE capabilities across the organization.
The Opportunity Strategic roadmap ownership and alignment:* Partner with the Site LT to co-develop and execute the site OE and Digital joint roadmap, aligning priorities with business and manufacturing strategies while ensuring alignment with global and local functions.
Sitewide opportunity identification and leadership enablement:Identify high-impact improvement opportunities across site MUs and support functions, integrate OE initiatives into site performance objectives, and educate site leaders on applying OE and Lean to accelerate performance, efficiency, and quality.
OE team leadership and development: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of OE Managers driving OE across all site areas, providing clear direction, mentoring, and professional development.
Culture, standards, and best-practice deployment: Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring strong analytical, coaching, and change management capabilities and consistent application of Lean methodologies, OE standards, and best practices across departments.
Improvement accountability and execution: Take accountability for the design, implementation, and results of site-level improvement initiatives combining OE and Digital methodologies.
Performance management and decision support: Oversee progress against improvement plans using KPIs and digital dashboards, ensuring measurable outcomes in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement while identifying gaps, implementing countermeasures, and enabling timely decision-making.
Lean leadership coaching and guidance:Coach and guide site leaders and OE Managers on Lean Leadership and Standards principles and behaviors that enable sustainable performance improvement.
Capability ecosystem and continuous improvement: Build and maintain a strong OE capability ecosystem through structured training, coaching, and capability-building programs, reinforcing continuous improvement through daily management systems and routines.
Change management and communication leadership:Lead OE-related communication and change management efforts, ensuring transparency, engagement, and adoption across all functions.
Cultural transformation and influence:Act as a trusted advisor and change champion, fostering a culture of openness, empowerment, and shared accountability.
Who you are* Degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
Proven experience leading teams (matrix or direct) and a strong track record in leading and developing OE / Lean expert teams to deliver large-scale, sitewide improvement and productivity programs.
Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen, with the ability to shape the OE vision, roadmap, and portfolio in line with site and network priorities, and translate manufacturing and quality optimization into financial benefits.
Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement, combined with advanced data and digital literacy to deploy data-driven ecosystems that steer OE priorities and results.
Demonstrated ability to coach and influence senior leaders, drive sustainable organizational change, and apply excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
