Romac is growing! We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, has solid problem solving skills and a desire to have their contributions make a difference.
In this role you will be the lead in supporting Romac's programming needs using the most current MasterCam software and working closely with the machinists, Quality, Procurement, Design and Management team.
The successful individual will be an experienced person who has:
Ability to observe company's existing Best Practices and bring a high level of skill to the current methods
High Skill level for reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings
Knowledge of Manufacturing methods / Process procedures / order of operations
Knowledge of Horizontal Boring Mill equipment utilizing the B-axis table
In-depth knowledge of cutting tools
Ability to create 2D and 3D geometry within MasterCam
Ability to create necessary toolpaths
Ability to read POSTED G-code to ensure programs being sent to the Shop are accurate and proven programs are saved in the job directory
Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook and other communication tools
Excellent communication skills both listening and incorporating feedback as well as providing instruction and guidance
Works well under pressure and is able to manage time sensitive projects
Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently with a high level of output efficiency and accuracy
Creation of Shop information including tool lists and set up sheets
Responsibilities
Create toolpaths and ensure code issued to the Shop are correct
Answer questions from the Shop and incorporate feedback in to future programs
Investigate, understand and select machining methods and approriate tooling
Must Have
Bachelor Degree or relevant work experience
Significant experience with MasterCam - 2D and 3D geometry
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Excellent communication skills

This is a Permanent Fulltime position. Our work week consists of 44 hours.
Overtime is often available, but not mandatory.
The base rate for compensation will be adjusted based on the candidates experience and ability.
