What you will do as Electrical Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)
As Electrical Engineer within our Mission Critical Facilities team, you work on technically complex data centre projects for demanding international clients. You contribute to the electrical design and engineering of reliable, high availability power infrastructures, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across borders. Beyond standard building services, you apply specialist knowledge of power distribution, redundancy and secure installations within live and brownfield environments.
You design and model electrical systems ranging from low voltage DC applications up to high voltage substations, including distribution, storage, redundancy concepts and uninterruptible power supplies. You contribute to risk assessments, testing and commissioning activities, and support the delivery of technically robust solutions that meet strict client and regulatory requirements.
Your main responsibilities include:
Designing and engineering electrical systems for data centres, including LV and HV distribution, UPS systems and redundancy architectures;
Preparing technical specifications, reports and project documentation to support contractors, vendors and authorities;
Supporting project management in cost reviews, risk assessments and technical evaluations;
Reviewing contractor and vendor documentation, tenders and technical proposals;
Contributing to testing, factory acceptance tests and site commissioning activities.
You work within an international multidisciplinary MEP environment and actively contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the MCF team and wider MEP community.

As our new Electrical Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres) you will become part of our Global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team.
Our global MCF team provides multidisciplinary consultancy services to datacentre clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. The team is diverse, with expertise in areas like electrical and mechanical engineering, construction, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together, this knowledge is used to develop integrated designs for Data Centres. You will be part of a dedicated, passionate team that is globally recognized as one of the best in Data Centre design and engineering. Curious about our work? The role will be based in our Nijmegen office. As our team is located throughout the EU, travel between offices may be required to meet the project demands. The role may also require occasional travel to client offices/ project sites both in the EU and overseas.
What you bring
You are a technically driven engineer who approaches challenges in a structured and analytical way. You take ownership of your design scope, work proactively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients. You are motivated to further develop your expertise within complex engineering environments and high reliability projects.
To be successful in this role, you bring the following:
A Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, providing the theoretical foundation required for robust system design and engineering decisions;
At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical design within complex building services or industrial environments, enabling you to contribute independently to project deliverables;
Solid knowledge of design and construction practices, ensuring that concepts are technically feasible and aligned with industry standards;
Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams, essential for effective coordination within integrated MEP environments;
Good command of English, both written and spoken, required for collaboration in international projects and communication with clients.
