Meet the team:

RTÉ Audio’s portfolio reaches over 2 million listeners every week across RTÉ Radio 1, 2fm, Lyric FM and Raidió na Gaeltachta making it the most listened to radio group in Ireland. RTÉ Radio 1 is the most-popular station in Ireland, reaching 1.3 million listeners every week, and has grown its share of 35–54-year-olds, outperforming all other stations in that demographic. RTÉ 2FM reaches over a quarter of a million 15-34-year-olds weekly. RTÉ Audio also includes the much-loved RTÉ Concert Orchestra and boasts a significant digital audio portfolio including greatest hits station RTÉ Gold, and successful podcasts from Doc on One with a focus on creating more original podcasts in 2026.

Reporting to the Audio Product Manager, we are looking for two Multimedia Co-ordinators to support the publishing, delivery and curation of RTÉ’s digital audio output (radio, music and podcasts). The successful candidates will also contribute to the launch and ongoing support of RTÉ’s new audio app, as well as the implementation of new tools and systems and a refreshed content offering.

About the role:* Oversee the live radio and on-demand podcast experience across RTÉ’s audio portfolio, troubleshooting, resolving, logging and escalating issues in a timely fashion as they are identified

Assist in ongoing publishing of live and on-demand radio, music and podcast content to RTÉ’s Audio app and 3rd parties ensuring correct formatting and technical compliance. Liaison with editorial and media delivery teams around best practice in file publishing

Assist the Audio Content Manager in executing day-to-day and long-tail curation plans on RTÉ’s Audio app and 3rd party platforms

Provide quality customer service for all of RTÉ’s audio output on multiple platforms and devices, managing feedback and leading product support for users of the app for an overall best in class audience experience

Day-to-day coordination of multimedia assets (images, metadata, text, audio files) for the RTÉ Audio app and 3rd parties

Work with the Audio Content Manager, Marketing and Graphics team to co-ordinate, source, and quality-check creative assets (stills, graphics, thumbnails) ensuring brand consistency across platforms

Maintain and advocate for clear, accurate metadata and imagery in line with product and brand guidelines with a variety of stakeholders across internal systems

Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of product updates, and in the integration of new systems into day-to-day Audio Product workflows

About you:* Experience in online products or publishing or related discipline

Knowledge and interest in Irish radio, podcasts, music and audio streaming platforms

Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a keen eye for detail

Excellent communication skills - comfortable working with editorial, technical, and creative stakeholders as well as external stakeholders and the general audience

Familiarity with content management systems, publishing tools and workflows, and metadata practices

Strong editorial awareness and understanding of RTÉ’s role as a public media broadcaster.

Collaborative, solution-focused, data driven, and comfortable working in a fast-moving and agile team environment

Ability to work flexible hours to meet audience needs i.e. this role could include early mornings and weekend work

These roles are being offered on an ongoing full time contract basis at the Multimedia Coordinator salary scale, between €46,832 gross per annum to €61,163 gross per annum, subject to relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
