Junior DevOps Engineer (minimum 2 years of experience).
Requirements:
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Minimum
2 years of experience
in
DevOps or SysAdmin roles
with focus on:
Cloud infrastructure management (
AWS and/or GCP
)
CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code
(Terraform/Ansible)
Containerization (EKS) and orchestration
Professional level of English (C1) and Spanish (B2–C1).
Pluses:
Certifications in GCP,
AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform

Experience or interest in
bioinformatics workflows
(Nextflow, AWS Batch).
Experience with
cloud cost optimization
.
Basic programming and scripting skills (Python, Bash), with the ability to automate tasks and understand developer codebases.

Hybrid work: remotely up to 3 days per week, depending on project needs and coordination with the team. 2 days/week at their offices located in Barcelona (Postal Code: 08005).
Monday to Friday, from 8:00/9:00 to 17:00/18:00 with a 1-hour lunch break. There is flexibility on start and end times, as well as for short absences or personal matters, as long as coordination with the team is maintained and service continuity is ensured.

Main Functions (reporting directly to the CIO):
Support in the coding and design of software, ensuring integration with infrastructure needs.
Design and development of CI/CD pipelines (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) to ensure efficient software deployment with Bitbucket pipelines.
Manage and optimize servers, storage systems, and cloud platforms (AWS and GCP).
Maintain and improve the company's cloud infrastructure with focus on security, scalability, and cost optimization.
Collaborate with developers, bioinformaticians, and operations to ensure smooth end-to-end workflows.
Configure and manage development, testing, and production environments in the cloud.
Automate deployment, testing, and delivery processes of applications and bioinformatics workflows (e.g., Nextflow, AWS Batch).
Implement and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and log analysis tools (e.g., Lens, CloudWatch).
Ensure best practices and tools for information security, GDPR compliance, and data protection.
Solve errors, perform updates, and apply improvements in software and infrastructure programs.
