The eCommerce Manager, Europe is responsible for leading the growth of Safilo’s European Direct-to-Consumer business across Smith, Carrera, Polaroid, and David Beckham. This role owns regional eCommerce strategy and execution, with accountability for commercial performance, site experience, and operational delivery across EMEA DTC.

As a manager with a small regional team, you will set the strategy for scaling the European eCommerce business while actively guiding day-to-day execution. You will translate global brand and platform priorities into market-relevant plans, balancing commercial performance, brand standards, and operational excellence. This role is both strategic and hands-on—responsible for defining direction, managing priorities, and coaching the team to deliver results.

You will work closely with the Global eCommerce team (US-based) and European marketing, sales operations, supply chain, and customer service partners to build a consistent, scalable eCommerce model across Germany, Austria, France, Italy, and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

EMEA Strategy \& Commercial Leadership

Define and lead the European eCommerce strategy across Safilo’s brand portfolio, translating global priorities into market-specific plans, budgets, and forecasts.

Develop and own the European website sales plan, aligning inventory, launches, and promotional cadence with seasonal demand and growth objectives.

Manage key commercial levers including pricing, promotions, traffic efficiency, and conversion performance to drive sustainable growth.

Team Leadership \& Execution

Lead and develop a small eCommerce team, setting clear priorities, supporting execution, and fostering strong operational ownership.

Ensure high standards of accuracy, speed, and consistency across site updates, launches, and ongoing optimizations.

Act as a hands-on leader—stepping into execution where needed while enabling the team to scale and mature.

Site Merchandising \& Experience

Own European site merchandising across brands, including product setup, collections, categorization, featured assortments, cross-sell/upsell strategies, and seasonal launches.

Lead European pricing, promotions, landing pages, and campaign execution with a focus on commercial impact and brand consistency.

Serve as the customer and eCommerce voice for the region, driving continuous improvements in site usability, conversion, and overall experience.

Content \& Brand Alignment

Partner with Brand and Marketing teams to build integrated site plans connected to the marketing calendar and regional sales objectives.

Balance brand storytelling with performance-driven merchandising to deliver a premium, conversion-focused experience across markets.

Performance, Insights \& Optimization

Own commercial reporting for European website performance, translating insights into clear actions across traffic, conversion, returns, product mix, and country-level CRO.

Identify opportunities for optimization, new features, and functionality enhancements; build business cases and lead implementation with global partners.

Cross-Functional \& Operational Leadership

Act as the primary European eCommerce point of contact, aligning global and regional stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and execution.

Manage the regional operating budget and develop business cases for incremental investment based on performance and ROI.

Partner with technology, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.

Other Information Knowledge, Skills \& Experience

6-9 years of progressive eCommerce experience with direct ownership of site and/or channel performance and growth.

Experience leading or managing a small team while remaining closely involved in execution.

Strong understanding of European eCommerce markets, with experience in at least one of the following: France, UK, Germany.

Proven experience managing merchandising, pricing, promotions, and content for a commercial website.

Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms and catalog management; Shopify experience a plus.

Solid understanding of digital commerce ecosystems (CRM, DAM, PIM, ERP).

Strong commercial acumen, with experience analyzing performance, building forecasts, and optimizing ROI.

Familiarity with CRO, UX best practices, A/B testing, and user-centered design.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional work in a matrixed, international organization.

Strategic but execution-oriented mindset—comfortable setting direction while staying close to details.

Collaborative, pragmatic leader who brings clarity, structure, and momentum.
