SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Stuttgart, Germany. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), endpoint protection, compliance, and excel in communication and customer service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* Provides senior technical implementation for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) capabilities within an Enterprise strategy
Identifies, assesses, and resolves MECM-related services, such as Operating System Deployment (OSD) task sequences, driver packages, and software deployment
Supports, updates, and troubleshoots Enterprise-provided offline/stand-alone OSD image capability
Communicates both orally and in writing, with staff at all levels internally, with oversight agencies, with the private sector and with senior government executives.
Creates documentation such as policies, procedures, workflows, and user guides in industry standard format to enhance technician understanding and system integration
Supports customer Asset Management team through MECM and Active Directory queries \& reports, using MECM Reporting Services, PowerShell, and other provided tools
Supports customer Endpoint Protection \& Compliance team through MECM and other provided tools to automate and report on OS patching, security configuration implementation, and vulnerability mitigation
Has an advanced understanding of Windows Active Directory functionality and industry best practices
Experience with configuring and supporting Group Policy implementation to drive endpoint management and user experience
Serves as a technical escalation point for a team of Associate-level customer support technicians
Provides alternate engineering support to the customer’s local services cluster (VMWare \& NetAPP-based)
Supports an enterprise-wide strategy for BitLocker and Microsoft BitLocker Administration \& Monitoring (MBAM) implementation and maintenance
Familiar with the support of Lexmark MarkVision multi-function printer endpoint management platform
Provides planning and engineering guidance to IT infrastructure planners
Creates, designs, and scripts tools and playbooks that can automate configuration and deployment processes
Provides technical or procedural recommendations to address long-term/chronic problem resolution
Assists with immediate and emergency troubleshooting and problem resolution as required
Qualifications
Must meet DOD 8570 / 8140 Compliance (Security+ or Higher)
Must have at least one of the following:

MCSE related to candidate’s area of expertise

Microsoft Certified Expert related to candidate’s area of expertise

Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administration Expert
Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI if hired
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree \& 9+ years of experience

Degree in computer/information systems or related information technology field is preferred

Additional years of experience may replace degree requirement
3 years' experience in a Systems Administrator or Engineer role
Familiarity with COCOM operations
Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral briefs to senior management
