Cloud Support Engineer – AWS
We’re on the lookout for a skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join a dynamic technology team. You’ll play a pivotal role in providing technical support, ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimisation of cloud systems while working closely with internal teams and customers.

THE ROLE:
In this role, you’ll take ownership of diagnosing and resolving cloud-related incidents, performing routine maintenance, and optimising cloud performance. This position suits someone who thrives in problem-solving, enjoys collaboration, and is eager to expand their expertise in cloud environments. The role will also participate in an after-hours on-call roster with appropriate shifts, penalty rates, and stand-down times.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for AWS cloud services, assisting customers with issues and inquiries.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud-related incidents, escalating complex issues as needed.
Manage and track support tickets using service desk tools.
Perform regular maintenance tasks including updates, patches, and backups to ensure cloud system health.
Monitor cloud environments proactively, identifying and addressing potential issues.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
Collaborate with team members to implement best practices and improve system performance.
Provide guidance and training to customers on AWS tools, features, and best practices.
Ensure cloud systems adhere to security and compliance standards, conducting audits and implementing necessary controls.
Analyse system performance and implement optimisations to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

SKILLS \& EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of experience in cloud support or similar technical roles
Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting cloud environments
Experience with service desk or ticketing systems
Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools and practices
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Familiarity with cloud security practices and compliance requirements
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Bonus: experience with automation tools or scripting (Python, Bash)
