About the Role:
For a client in the Retail sector in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Data Engineer on a payroll basis. They have ongoing efforts to strengthen data-driven decision-making and improve the efficiency of their business intelligence and analytics initiatives. The main work will be on the improving and ensuring data quality and data pipelines, which would enable the global analytic team to build dashboards and analysis, and the markets to use reliable and robust data for their reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the data models and data pipelines to support rollouts and enhancements;
Enhance data quality, accessibility and integration for global and market users;
Build a sustainable data foundation for advanced analytics and AI use cases.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in SQL;
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools;
Knowledge of data modelling, schema design and performance tuning;
Knowledge of data processing for large datasets;
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms;
Experience with build and deploy tools as well as infrastructure management frameworks;
Familiarity with version control systems;
