WHO ARE WE?

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.

In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.

YOUR MISSION

As MAIT technician at Sateliot, you will be directly responsible for the hands-on manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing of our satellites and ground support equipment. Working closely with MAIT engineers and other technical staff, you will play a key role in turning engineering concepts into space-ready hardware.

YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS

Assemble and integrate satellite subsystems (mechanical, electrical, thermal) following work instructions and engineering drawings.

Perform mechanical and electrical installations, cable routing, harness assembly, and connector mating.

Carry out soldering and mechanical/electrical rework tasks in accordance with

aerospace standards.

Support environmental and functional testing: vibration, thermal vacuum (TVAC), EMC, and final functional tests.

Operate test and ground support equipment (GSE), including electrical ground support equipment (EGSE).

Run and monitor functional and automated tests using standard test software and scripts

Maintain cleanroom protocols and ESD safety standards during all operations. Record detailed assembly and test data in build logs and issue reports for non-conformities.

Support the development and optimization of MAIT procedures and tooling.

Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and integration issues.

Participate in logistics and configuration management of flight and non-flight hardware.

Support integration and test campaigns at test facilities or launch sites.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical qualification in Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanics, related field or equivalent through experience

3+ years of experience in electromechanical system assembly/integration/testing.

Strong hands-on skills with mechanical and electrical assembly tools

Experience working in an ESD-controlled environment

Excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to procedures.

Ability to read technical drawings and wire/cable schematics.

Proficiency in soldering and electrical/mechanical rework

Experience working with testing software

Experience writing documentation and using ERP/PLM tools

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with smallsat and newspace MAIT processes

Experience working in cleanrooms

Knowledge of ECSS or other (e.g. NASA) standards

Knowledge of space-grade parts and associated handling strategies

Experience with certified quality management systems (e.g. ISO9000)

Hands-on experience integrating spacecraft subsystems and flight hardware

Experience working with Linux and Python scripting

ESD and soldering certifications or training (e.g. IPC, JSTD etc.)
