Schelstraete Delacourt is looking for a Product Manager Freight Forwarding \& Distribution for their client in the broader Supply Chain and Logistics sector.
The Product Manager Freight Forwarding \& Distribution is responsible for the global product strategy and development of Freight Forwarding (FFW) and Inland Distribution capabilities. This role integrates strategic ownership of carrier management, pricing models, and technology platforms, ensuring alignment with customer-facing products and regional execution teams.
This role reports to the VP Product Management.
The role is accountable for designing and developing the inland transportation product and ensuring its relevance and performance across markets.
Define and lead the global product strategy for Freight Forwarding and Inland Distribution.
Own carrier management frameworks, including sourcing strategy and performance metrics.
Develop and maintain pricing models in collaboration with Solution Development, Customer Growth (CG) and regional teams.
Lead technology enablement, including system requirements and integration for product-specific platforms
Support Product Manager Supply Chain Management (SCM) by enabling inland transport capabilities for SCM delivery.
Align with Supply Chain Solutions' Regional Operations (EMEA, APAC \& Americas) on regional procurement, execution structures \& operational alignment.
Ensure Inland Distribution is positioned as a capability that enables FFW and SCM to scale, not as a standalone customer-facing product.
The PM collaborates cross-functionally with product managers, regional operations, and commercial teams to ensure seamless integration of inland distribution into Freight Forwarding and SCM products.
The position requires a blend of Freight Forwarding domain expertise, service product development, and cross-functional collaboration. The profile we're looking for has:
Deep knowledge of the Supply Chain and Logistics Markets, particularly road and rail, including subcontracting models and delivery networks
Product management experience, ideally in logistics, transport, or supply chain
Experience with procurement and supplier management in relevant industries
Understanding of digital platforms for transportation visibility, booking, and integration
Deep understanding of product development, with experience in navigating cross-functional teams
Proven track record of leading product strategy and lifecycle management and to build trust and foster alignment in cross-BU initiatives
Strong analytical/problem solving skills; able to synthesize inputs into a clear and actionable roadmap
Strong communication skills; able to communicate clearly and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders–even without formal reporting lines
Strong interpersonal skills; able to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers, partners and key stakeholders
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term vision
High degree of self-management, accountability, and collaboration in virtual/cross-functional team settings
