The role will be based in Dublin and is responsible for primarily supporting the Head of Finance in completion of quarterly and annual IFRS and SII reporting requirements. The candidate appointed to this role will be a key member of the Ireland Finance team and will manage the financial reporting delivery (excluding IFRS17 or insurance-specific reporting) for both Group and Local statutory reporting across SI and SGRI legal entities
Working as part of a large finance team, you’ll be involved in a range of tasks and responsibilities, including :-
Contribution to delivery of quarterly management accounts for two large reinsurance entities
Oversight of the preparation of specific quarterly trial balance reconciliations (e.g. investments and investment income, FX forward currency contracts, tax) including variance analysis.
Responsible for review and approval of investment related invoices
Responsible for reporting of Off Balance Sheet commitments quarterly
Support the production all tax-related deliverables, e.g. reporting, payments and filings, working with external advisors and Group tax stakeholders. Contribution to the calculation, preparation and review of quarterly statement of accounts for allocated clients
Responsible for review and approval of quarerly results relating to the client
Contribution to preparation of IFRS financial statements and related disclosures
Review of certain quarterly Group reporting memos on IFRS basis
Review of various quarterly and annual Solvency II QRTs
Ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures
Contribute to external audit process
Other duties as may be deemed suitable from time to time
Skills \& Experience:
Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with several years post qualification experience.
Good IT skills, with proficiency in Excel.
IFRS experience desirable.
Reinsurance or insurance experience is an advantage.
