Job Title: Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS)
Role Overview
The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing AWS-based production environments to ensure stability, security, and performance. The role focuses on proactive monitoring, automation, and deployment support while driving operational excellence through collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain AWS cloud environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of production systems.
Perform daily monitoring, incident response, backup, and recovery for mission-critical applications.
Automate workflows and reporting using Python and SQL scripts to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) for deployment and configuration management.
Monitor infrastructure using AWS tools and other observability tools to identify and resolve performance issues.
Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks for consistency and compliance.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and stakeholder teams to ensure smooth deployments and continuous improvement.
Requirements
5–10 years of IT operations experience, including hands-on AWS cloud management.
Proficiency in automation scripting (Python, SQL) and tools such as GitLab, JIRA, and Confluence.
Strong expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management for cloud environments.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with ITIL, IM8, and PDPA compliance frameworks is preferred.
