We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with back-end experience to join a talented and passionate team behind evo.seequent.com - the customer-facing web application of Evo platform. Evo is our next-gen geoscience data and compute platform that enables integrated workflows and collaboration across native Seequent and third-party products.
As the most visible part of the platform, Evo web application plays a critical role in shaping the user experience for our global customer base, ensuring a smooth, intuitive, and efficient user journey. This is a high-impact, high-profile role where your work will directly influence how customers interact with the tools they rely on daily.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Take ownership of development tasks, from ticket estimation and implementation to testing and delivery.
Conduct technical discovery and contribute to solution design and architectural decisions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Review code from peers and provide constructive, thoughtful feedback.
Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings.
Ensure quality through testing and support deployment activities.
Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, guidance, and sharing knowledge.
Help improve engineering practices, tools, and team processes.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
7+ years working in relevant Software Engineering roles.
Experience with Python, particularly using python to build APIs using FastAPI and Pydantic.
Experience developing cloud services, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB.
Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps practice.
