This position seeks an engineering professional to lead fleet performance data analytics and develop tools, techniques, solutions that will help internal stakeholders in consuming the data for their engineering investigations / projects and operational decision making. Candidate should be skilled in problem solving, organization, management, and planning. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and organized; he or she looks at the big picture and is not afraid of approaching new challenges. This position will be supporting North America business. The ideal candidate will deploy a range of scientific, mathematical, computational and/or data analysis methods for developing operational data driven techniques / technologies, tools, systems, and services.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Analyzes technical and business challenges to be solved, develops hypotheses and analytical models, evaluates alternatives and identifies most promising resolutions.
Sets up, develops, and configures simulation, test and prototyping environment.
Performs the programming of specialized software in use and conducts data analyses.
Automates reports showing reliability analysis of components, technical turbine performance, and the impact of any modifications or correctives, while documenting the results by appropriate visualization methods.
Maintains network to customers, business experts, product management and other subject matter experts.
What You Bring
BS/BA in engineering (mechanical/electrical). Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
Extensive experience in Python, R, Power BI, MATLAB, SQL, Tableau, or other data analytics engine and visualization tools.
Experience working in wind industry; preferred with experience in engineering areas – reliability engineering, product development, service operational engineering.
Working experience in managing multiple engineering tasks / issues / projects.
Ability to work and thrive independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication in English and Spanish (written and verbal) and presentation proficiency.
