Siemens Digital Industries Software (SW) helps organizations of all sizes digitally transform using software, hardware and services from the Siemens Xcelerator business platform. Siemens' software and the comprehensive digital twin enable companies to optimize their design, engineering and manufacturing processes to turn today's ideas into the sustainable products of the future. From chips to entire systems, from product to process, across all industries, we accelerate transformation. Siemens Digital Industries Software is one of five business units of Siemens Digital Industries (DI), a leading innovator in automation and digitalization. The other four businesses are Factory Automation, Process Automation, Motion Control and Customer Services. Start your career with the Strategic Student Program (SSP)

The Strategic Student Program is our formal internship program globally. You will be mentored by guides and again invaluable professional experience. At Siemens, SSP interns get access to an international student network and community, career development opportunities with professional growth pathways, comprehensive practical training throughout the program, access to the Siemens Learning Hub and other training materials, and the opportunity to collaborate on exciting projects within a global, diverse team. Internship topic: Automating Graphical User Interface (GUI) Testing for Robust Software Integration. What you’ll be doing

The backend of our software is rigorously tested through unit tests and API validations. However, ensuring robustness in the integration with the Graphical User Interface (GUI) poses unique challenges, particularly due to the added complexity introduced by our server-based architecture. To address this, the objective of this internship is to automate and replicate user actions performed in the GUI using advanced testing tools.

In this context, we use advanced testing tools designed for automating the testing of GUIs. The objective is to automate a suite of manual tests, enhancing efficiency and enabling additional Quality Assurance (QA) tests to be driven with every nightly build.

As part of this internship, and in collaboration with the developers of Simcenter HEEDS and Simcenter Reduced Order Modeling, you will be responsible for implementing scripts to test the GUI and ensure that no regressions are introduced during the development process. Your work will involve designing, executing, and implementing testing scenarios with Python scripts and developing utility functions to simplify script creation. These efforts will significantly enhance QA coverage and improve the robustness of the software.

This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience with modern testing practices and automation techniques, while also improving your programming skills through the use of Python. Additionally, you will gain exposure to professional software development environments, sharpen your problem-solving abilities, and collaborate closely with a team of developers. This opportunity will help you build a strong foundation in quality assurance, software testing, and teamwork within a professional setting. This 6-month internship is based in Châtillon (92), France and is available from January 2026. All about you!

You are currently pursuing higher education in engineering (BAC+5 or equivalent), with a specialization in mechanics and programming, and are enrolled at a French university for the full duration of the internship.* You show strength in Python, including object-oriented programming.

Familiarity with Git, C++ or Qt is a plus.

Your interpersonal and communication skills in English enable effective collaboration within the team. French is a plus.

You are able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with mentors.
