ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
As the Product Manager for our biometrically enabled, SITA Smart Path E-Gates and Facepods, you will drive the growth of one of our most innovative product groups. You will be accountable for all aspect of the product creation life cycle and should be able cascade your vision to the several team members and supporting services that will assist you to make this product an even bigger success. With a solid product to build on, your focus will be on the strategy to take this product group to the next level by looking into new ways to sell, deliver and support and new providers according to regional needs, and commercial viability.
Both the team and our products have gone through a major transformation over the past years where we renewed our entire portfolio. We moved away from reactive development and stepped up to set the new standard in aviation self-service. We work closely with all stakeholders within SITA to create state of the art solutions that make travelling easier.
Reporting to the Director Product Management - Touchpoints, you will be a part of a driven team of other product managers and engineers responsible for delivering the highest quality products to the aviation industry within our Passengers at Airports division.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams
: work closely with cross-functional teams, such as design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure that everyone is aligned and working towards putting successful products and features to market. Actively support our sales teams with great features and excellent collateral to be able to position your product.
Measuring and analysing (financial) product performance
: measure and analyze product performance (revenue/margins, # of incidents, etc.) to make data-driven decisions.
C-level reporting on your product group and actively suggest solutions to challenges that you are facing
Be responsible for the entire P\&L of your product, from requesting the budget to reporting on its profitability.
Defining product strategy
: responsible for developing a product strategy that aligns with SITA’s vison and goal, focusing on the unique requirements of biometric e-gates. Identify customer needs, market trends, and evaluate the competition to determine what features and functionalities the product should have.
Conducting market research
: conduct market research to determine what customers want and need from the product. This involves gathering data, analyzing it, and identifying key insights that will inform product decisions.
Developing and managing an innovative product roadmap
: responsible for creating a product roadmap that outlines the key products, features and functionalities that will be added to the product over time. This involves prioritizing features based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
Making product decisions:
Make critical product decisions, focusing on the unique aspects of e-gate features, pricing models, and launch strategies.
Creating and reviewing product requirements together with the product owner and engineering team
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
5+ years of working experience as a product owner or product manager in a global company - proven
track record to drive change and put innovative solutions to market.
Preferred to have a bachelors or master’s degree at a technical university.
Preferred to have a background in hardware/software engineering, consultancy or project management
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Process optimizations, Strategy development, Product Development, Mechanical/Software Engineering, Solidworks,
Passion for technology and innovation, natural curiosity how things work.
A proactive and positive attitude.
You like to work well within teams.
Outstanding communication
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
Good knowledge of aviation industry and biometric technologies
Good knowledge of IT based solutions, knowledge of ATI
