Our client is looking for a
Senior DevOps Engineer
with strong
Kubernetes
expertise to join their engineering team in ZĂŒrich. Youâll play a key role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Kubernetes environments that power mission-critical applications across multi-cloud infrastructures.
What Youâll Do
Engineer, operate, and optimise
enterprise Kubernetes clusters
(primarily on-premise).
Design and implement
cluster mesh architectures
for high availability and security.
Manage
API gateways
, with a focus on
Azure API Management
.
Drive
automation
and
infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
using tools like Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, and Flux.
Architect and support
multi-cloud deployments
with emphasis on scalability, security, and governance.
Collaborate with development teams on
cloud-native
and
microservices-based
solutions.
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability systems.
Apply
DevSecOps
principles: RBAC, OPA, Kyverno, and policy-driven delivery.
Contribute to
FinOps
practices to ensure cloud efficiency and cost optimization.
What Youâll Bring
Professional fluency in German (C1)
and good
English (B1+)
for technical collaboration.
Several years of hands-on experience managing
enterprise Kubernetes environments
.
Strong understanding of
cloud-native technologies
â containers, Helm charts, service mesh (Cilium, Istio, Linkerd), and operators.
Experience with
multi-cloud networking, IAM, and governance
.
Practical experience with
automation frameworks
(Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, Flux).
Proficiency in
Go, Python, or Bash
scripting.
Familiarity with
GitOps workflows
,
DevSecOps
, and
policy automation
(Kyverno, OPA).
Knowledge of
FinOps principles
and cloud spend optimization.
Experience with
Azure services
, particularly
Azure API Management
.
Relevant certifications such as
CKA, CKAD, or CKS
are a plus.
