We are seeking a Software Developer who can contribute to both backend and frontend development while engaging directly with stakeholders and driving projects to completion.
Job Duties
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Golang (Gin-Gonic framework) with GORM/GORP.
Build, integrate, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
Develop and maintain front-end applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Write and maintain automation scripts and developer tools using Python.
Participate in stakeholder discussions to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
Contribute to project planning, development, and deployment in an agile startup environment.
Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Insure performance, reliability, and scalability of software systems.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as a software engineer or full-stack developer.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Golang (Gin-Gonic framework) with ORM libraries (GORM/GORP).
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
Experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript for modern frontend development.
Familiarity with Python scripting for automation.
Knowledge of Git version control, software development lifecycle, and DevOps practices.
Proficiency with Github Copilot and prompt engineering.
Other Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
Ability to lead projects and deliver on time in a fast-paced startup environment.
Employment Conditions
Full-time, permanent position (40 hours/week).
Salary: CAD $40,000 CAD/year.
Hybrid role: 2 days per week required in-person, 3 days per week remote. Must be in the Greater Toronto Area.
