The GMD Weapon System (GWS) integrates data from multiple sensor sources to detect and assess incoming ballistic missile threats, determine optimal defensive solutions, and launch interceptors to neutralize those threats.
The Work
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you'll contribute to a high\-impact team working at the intersection of automation, security, and cloud technologies. You will:
Configure and manage automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to streamline builds and system configurations
Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications
Champion Agile methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitLab
Continuously evaluate and implement new tools to ensure scalable, secure capabilities
Create and maintain automation scripts using Python

Qualifications
Required:
U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance
Bachelorâs degree in a STEM field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Masterâs degree with no experience required
DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security\+ CE)
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Familiarity with Agile development practices
Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Java)
Exposure to DevSecOps tools and principles
Ability to work full\-time in a secured, in\-person environment
Preferred:
Understanding of Platform\-as\-a\-Service (PaaS) infrastructure
Experience with containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus, and Git\-based tools
Basic scripting experience in Windows environments (e.g., PowerShell)
Security Clearance Requirement
This role requires an active U.S. government Secret clearance.
