We are looking for a
Senior Software Engineer (5–7 years)
to join a growing engineering team building and maintaining
open-source–based web and desktop applications
. This is a
lead-level role
requiring strong Python/Django expertise, solid full-stack skills, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate is
bilingual (Spanish \& English)
and comfortable working in a collaborative, distributed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain
Django-based web applications
Lead and enhance front-end applications using
Vue.js
and
legacy AngularJS
Develop and support
desktop applications using Python (PyQT)
Write clean, scalable, and well-tested
Python, JavaScript, and SQL
code
Design and optimize
PostgreSQL
schemas and queries
Collaborate with cross-functional, international teams (daily communication in
Spanish \& English
)
Deploy, support, and troubleshoot applications in
Linux
environments
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
Required Skills \& Experience
5+ years
of professional software development experience
Strong expertise in
Python and Django
Solid experience with
SQL and PostgreSQL
Proficiency in
JavaScript
and
Vue.js
Experience maintaining or modernizing
AngularJS
applications
Experience developing desktop apps using
PyQT
Strong working knowledge of
Linux
Familiarity with
AWS
(no specific services required)
Experience working with
open-source technologies
Bilingual:
Native or fluent
