Job Description

SOFT's client located in New York, NY is looking for a Python Developer - Dash for a long term contract assignment with potential to convert to FTE with our client. No 3rd parties.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, data manipulation, and cloud technologies, particularly AWS.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

5+ years of professional experience in Python development

Strong proficiency in web development using Python, with expertise in the Dash framework

Extensive experience with data manipulation libraries such as pandas and polars

Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture

Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD pipeline configuration and management

Experience with Docker containerization and orchestration

Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Experience with other web frameworks such as Flask or Django

Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Familiarity with database systems (SQL and NoSQL)

Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Plotly, Matplotlib)

Understanding of machine learning concepts and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow)

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)

Nice to have, full stack Java Development experience.

Responsibilities: Develop and maintain web applications using Python, with a focus on the Dash framework (interactive dashboards)

Design and implement user interfaces that are both functional and intuitive

Implement complex Dash layouts and visualizations to effectively present data insights.

Create and manage callbacks to enable interactive features, such as dynamic filtering, action clicks, and component updates.

Work with large datasets using pandas and polars for efficient data manipulation and analysis

Develop and optimize backend systems and APIs

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab

Create and manage containerized applications using Docker

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

Pay: $95.37 - $157.43 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
