About The Role
We are seeking
Test Automation Engineer
to join our Platforms – Delivery Engineering team, where your deep expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and security of our software applications and platforms.
As a Test Automation Engineer, your primary focus will be on conducting ongoing testing, automation, monitoring and reporting to ensure that our systems continue to meet the established quality standards and the evolving needs of our customers. You will work across multiple teams and platforms and have exposure to some of the latest technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain robust automated tests across UI, API, and mobile platforms using SCHS automation frameworks.
Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, deployment, and delivery.
Ensure system quality, performance, and security through effective automated and performance testing practices.
Write clean, maintainable, and peer-reviewed automation code aligned with SCHS coding and release standards.
Collaborate with developers and engineers to optimise test placement, improve efficiency, and enhance test coverage.
Analyse automation results and metrics to identify issues, drive improvements, and report progress and risks clearly.
Contribute to framework maintenance and enhancement, ensuring scalability, reusability, and sustainability of automation assets.
Champion automation strategy and continuous improvement within squads and the QA Community of Practice (CoP).
Mentor junior QAs and share best practices, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a strong engineering culture.
Actively participate in agile ceremonies (planning, retros, reviews, etc.) to ensure testing is integrated throughout the delivery lifecycle.
About You
Seasoned experience in test automation with strong hands-on skills in API, Web and Performance automation.
Comfortable working in a BAU/operations environment, supporting the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of core technology platforms
Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating quality gates into automated workflows
Experience maintaining automated test suites using C#, Selenium, Playwright, RestSharp, Postman, or equivalent frameworks, backed by solid programming skills
Familiarity with operational technology platforms such as Snowflake, OpenShift, Azure, and hybrid on ‑prem/cloud environments
Ability to understand business processes and apply curiosity, problem solving, and continuous learning to improve quality and reliability
Ability to innovate and incorporate AI-assisted approaches into automation practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and delivery focused mindset
Testing, Agile, or Azure certifications are desirable
