Job Title: Network Engineer (Full-Time, Permanent – Remote, UK)

Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud-based network environments.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize uptime.
Implement and maintain network security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control lists.
Support the rollout of network upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
Collaborate with IT, security, and DevOps teams to ensure resilient infrastructure operations.
Document network architecture, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Participate in on-call rotation or incident response, as needed.
Required Skills \& Qualifications
1-15 years of relevant experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Solid understanding of:
TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs)
Network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
Firewall and VPN configuration (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.)
Wireless networking and troubleshooting
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is advantageous.
Knowledge of network security principles and practices.
