About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Enterprise Solutions Architect with deep experience in low-code/no-code platforms and a strong background in writing technical requirements
to join a small team supporting a large customer. The output of this project team will include building efficient applications and workflows to reduce work duplication, simplify tools sprawl and generate better data to support the Department of Veteran Affairs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, can work across various technologies, and is passionate about enabling rapid digital transformation through scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and design scalable application solutions using low-code/no-code ServiceNow platform.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and solution designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including delivery leaders, developers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery.
Lead technical discovery sessions and solution workshops as needed.
Ensure solutions adhere to best practices in security, scalability, and maintainability.
Maintain governance process documentation and best practices, ensuring that all architectural decisions and design approaches are documented and accessible for all teams.
Collaborate with other technical leaders/teams across the organization to ensure that all related initiatives are strategically aligned, well-planned, and executed in a consistent, scalable manner.
Develop architecture diagrams, and provide input into data flow diagrams, process flows, and role-based access control (RBAC) models to support the design and implementation of new systems and processes.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and citizen developers.
Stay current with emerging trends in low-code/no-code development and enterprise architecture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in implementing or architecting custom ServiceNow solutions.
10 years of experience in software architecture and development.
Proven ability to write comprehensive technical documentation and requirements.
Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and data modeling.
Experience working in agile environments and using tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work across multiple industries and adapt to various business models.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
Experience with one or more of the following platforms:
ServiceNow, Salesforce, Pega, Microsoft Power Platform
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
Background in traditional software development (e.g., JavaScript, Python, .NET)
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
