SQSP Payments
is dedicated to simplifying the financial side of commerce, allowing merchants to securely and reliably collect payments from their customers with minimal effort. Our team's mission is to develop systems that allow merchants to focus on what matters most: growing their brand.
Help Experience
creates our support platform, which is critical for our customers' growth and the efficiency of our Customer Operations department. We manage a diverse set of tools—including our Support Chatbot and Help Center—that directly impact over a million monthly visitors and support more than 500 Customer Operations advisors. Our focus includes applying generative AI for self-service and personalizing the customer journey, working collaboratively with Product, Design, and Data Analysts to solve complex technical challenges.
Commerce Monetization
is a product-focused group that enables merchants to seamlessly set up and manage their physical goods and services on Squarespace, owning core user experiences like onboarding, product editing, and catalog management. Beyond these essential tools, we ensure a cohesive and intuitive merchant experience by collaborating with other teams to integrate best-practice shopper features into their websites.
You'll Get To…
Write server-side code, create high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
Collaborate with other engineers and designers to provide intuitive customer-focused experiences.
Ensure the reliability of systems essential to Squarespace users and businesses powered by Squarespace.
Who We're Looking For
4+ years of development experience in Java, Python, Go or another Object-oriented language. Experience developing large-scale software.
A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design practices.
A sincere commitment to creating readable code and an understanding of database schema design, caching and scalability.
A degree in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience.

Cash Compensation Range: $110,500 - $178,250 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
