Job Overview

We are partnering with a fast-growing UK SaaS business based in Exeter that is entering an exciting phase of product and team growth. They are looking to hire a talented mid-weight full-stack developer to help build and evolve a market-leading SaaS platform.

You’ll join a collaborative engineering team, working closely with senior developers to deliver high-quality features, maintain strong code standards, and contribute to architectural decisions. This role offers exposure to scalable systems, complex problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality, testable, and scalable code.

Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture and technical decisions.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full technology stack.

Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver new features.

Suggest improvements to processes, tooling, and system performance.

Core Skills

Strong commercial experience with PHP 8.x.

Good working knowledge of the Symfony framework and components (7.0+).

Solid understanding of software design principles and testing practices.

Ability to break down complex problems into clear technical solutions.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Vue.js or a similar modern JavaScript framework.

MySQL query design with and without ORM support.

Exposure to third-party API integrations (accounting or CRM systems a plus).
